Shutter Angles

‘How Do Camera Shutters Work?’ – by The Beat – Caleb Ward

Lets say one turn of the shutter is the time one frame is shown. The exposure time of the frame (how long we can see it) depends on the cut out area/s of the shutter. The less shutter there is, the more the frame is exposed and vice versa. However I am working with multiple frames on the same disk, which means that I have to make multiple cuts on the shutter. The cuts I have made so far make the animation seem too jittery and fast, which means that I will have to probably have to either increase the size or decrease the amount of cuts on the shutter.

I need to make some more experiments with thinner and wider cuts, more and less cuts, and the size of the shutter disk.
